Simulation of traffic for an urban area of Bogotá.
This project aims at designing and implementing a multimodal trafic micro-simulator. The main features of this simulator are: the multimodal support, behavior and infrastructure status modeling, cellular automata’s approach and the distributed strategy. In order to support the simulation an urban spatial data model is required. To generate the data model a set of interesting proposals has been posed, as for example a methodology for automatic generation of distributed urban. The methodology uses a Voronoi polygon-based method in order to split the urban space.
